1In order to improve machinability it is recommended and allowed to adjust sulfur contents from 0.015% up to 0.030%. In relation to weldability it is recommended and allowed to adjust sulfur contents from 0.008% do 0.030%. Maximum 0.015% of sulphur is recommended when polishing is requested.
2Products carried out from free cutting alloy austenitic steel with high sulfur concentration might be non-compliant with the European Union Directive 94/27 in relation to contact with human skin.
3If agreed this grade can be delivered with a resistant equivalent to pitting corrosion (PRE = Cr + 3.3 Mo + 16 N) of more then 34
4Stabilization by titanium, niobium or zirconium extras is allowed. In accordance with the atomic number of those radicals together with carbon and nitrogen contents, equivalence should amount to: Ti =7/4 Ni =7/4Z
